Brunson and RJ Barrett combined for 28 of the 36 points in the first quarter for the Knicks in the game. Jalen Brunson shot 53.6 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point range. On the year, he is 26.1 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 5.9 APG. Brunson’s PPG is ranked 13th in the NBA this season and this goes to show how valuable he is to the New York Knicks.

Brunson did not turn the ball over in the game against the Bucks. He told Stefan Bondy of the New York Post after the game:“Needed a little bit more energy today and it showed, from start to finish. In the past we’ve had spurts where we had great energy and we made comebacks, we’ve taken the lead but we played with the lead the whole game today and just found a way to keep it.”

All good things must come to an end. The Bucks seven game winning streak was snapped Christmas Day. We saw Milwaukee’s offense continue to impress and outscore teams with ease. The team has seen an improvement on the defensive side of the ball, as well as ranking closer to the middle than on the bottom. People (ie. The Ringer) are trying to discredit the good Milwaukee has done, but the Bucks are doing what is expected of them and that is winning,

The Nets have been hovering around .500 during the season and sit tied for 8th in the Eastern Conference standings. The Nets are a team with intriguing young pieces but lack that star player that’s needed to succeed. The team led by Mikal Bridges, Cam Thomas, and Nic Claxton will have Brooklyn in the playoffs and give top team problems. The Nets played last night against the Detroit Pistons where it was close but walked away with a win.
