It is also worthnoting that there’s now a possibility that backup point guard Cameron Payne is able to return on Thursday as well. The 29-year-old recently entered the league’s concussion protocol, which forced him to miss Monday’s game.
According to Coach Griff, however, Payne was able to practice on Wednesday and could be available on Thursday against Boston:
“Cam practiced as well today. We’ll see how he feels in the morning,” Griffin said. Unlike Lillard, though, there is still no guarantee that Payne will be available on Thursday.
