A second player for the Philadelphia Eagles announced their retirement plans following a crushing blow on Monday night. The Eagles were blown out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card matchup. The Eagles finished their season, losing six of their final seven games.

Eagles star offensive lineman Jason Kelce reportedly told his teammates he plans to retire following the loss to the Buccaneers. The Eagles could have more turnover in the coming days. including at the head coaching position. Nick Sirianni’s job security has been a significant source of speculation during the late-season collapse.

Turnover from the 2022 NFC Championship team hurt the team down the stretch of the regular season and postseason. The defense missed its linebackers and secondary from 2022. The offense wasn’t the same after offensive coordinator Shane Steichen left to take the Indianapolis Colts head coaching gig.

The Philadelphia Eagles will lose a star player after 2024

Fortunately for the Eagles, one player wants to return one more season before calling it quits. According to 94WIP, All-Pro defensive end Brandon Graham intends to play the 2024 season before retiring and taking an office job with the Eagles.

“I still feel like I got a little bit of juice. I really just want to have this one be [season No.] 15, farewell tour, call it a day, and move up in the organization and go upstairs and do that part on serving the guys. Keep building this thing.”

Graham played at a high level in 2022 when he recorded 11 sacks and 35 total tackles. He only registered three sacks in 2023. However, the 35-year-old star still has plenty of juice left to record double-digit sacks in his Swan Song season.
