The season began for the Boston Red Sox with an unexpected start. With the exception of one bad outing against the Angels, the starting rotation has performed better than anticipated and the bullpen has been outstanding. Boston’s offense was slow to start the 2024 season, but the bats are starting to catch up. The Sox have been dancing their way to a 6-3 record throughout, bringing positive energy and good vibes to every game. Craig Breslow has complimented Red Sox manager Alex Cora on the atmosphere he’s fostered in the clubhouse and how it manifests itself on the field. The Sox are winning and demonstrating how far a positive mindset can take them after a depressing offseason.

As Boston’s second starter, Nick Pivetta has made two starts and has performed admirably thus far. Throughout his 11 innings pitched, he had a 0.82 ERA, 13 strikeouts, and just one walk. However, one of the stronger aspects of Pivetta’s performance is when he takes the mound. You can feel his emotions when he’s locked in. Recently, a video surfaced showing Pivetta angrily calling out to his infield after they executed a one-out double play to escape a bases-loaded situation. It’s electrifying to watch him celebrate his teammates.
