The New York Knicks didn’t win on Friday night and now have to face the Indiana Pacers one more time in Game 7 on Sunday afternoon.

But right before tipoff, lifelong Knicks fan Stephen A. Smith predicted his team was going to win Game 6 and claim victory in the series.

“I believe the New York Knicks end the series tonight and they go to the conference finals,” Smith confidently said.

Since that didn’t happen, a chorus of critics came out to poke fun at Smith following New York’s disappointing loss.

Many people brought up the fact that Smith has a bad habit of making the wrong predictions.

For example, he recently said that the Denver Nuggets were going to be swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Other Twitter users said that sports analysts should stay out of the prediction game because they “kinda suck at it.”

There has been a growing trend of analysts like Smith predicting who will win games, which often leads to the sort of embarrassment that he faced on Friday night.
