The New York Giants will have many important decisions about their rosters this offseason. After an injury-plagued 6-11 season, the Giants have more than a few positions that need to be retooled and other positions with starters. Still, they could use improvement or competition, like what could be the case for their quarterback position. Although the Giants recently signed Daniel Jones to a four-year deal worth $160 million, Jones missed 11 games this season with multiple injuries. However, Jones had been struggling on the field even before his injuries this season. He’d finish his shortened season with a 1-5 starting record and the lowest average of passing yards per game in his five-year career by nearly 50 yards.

He finished with a 2-3 record as a starter and posted a 64.4 completion percentage (116 of 180), throwing for 1,341 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. The red flag with the 34-year-old Taylor, however, is that he seems to be a magnet for injuries–he suffered a rib cage injury in the overtime loss to the Jets that landed him on IR, thus opening the door for Tommy DeVito for a bit before finally reclaiming the starting job after DeVito was benched midway through the team’s second game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
