HOUSTON — Houston Texans Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud is proving himself as an overall dominant athlete. Stroud will be part of Team Stephen A. Smith to participate in the Ruffles 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday night. The event will be a part of the NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. Stroud, who is a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, has a deep passion for basketball and grew up playing the sport. His all-time favorite player is the late Kobe Bryant.

The chance to showcase his on-court skills is thrilling to the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year. But Stroud vows that he won’t do too much while part taking in the friendly competition. “I’m not going to be doing too much,” Stroud said. “But I do know Micah [Parsons] is going to try and kill me. I’m going to try to get my rhythm going. Knock down a few jump shots and have some fun, nothing serious.

Hopefully, Stroud will have the energy to represent the Texans well during the celebrity game. He spent Thursday night’s competing in Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic at Minute Maid Park. The proceeds from the event went to the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund, Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation and Project H.E.A.L initiative. The programs aim to help HBCU students graduate on time despite experiencing last-minute financial adversity.
