Al-Ittihad is confident that they can acquire Mohamed Salah this summer from Liverpool; otherwise, they wouldn’t be making the effort.

That is what author Graeme Bailey stated when participating in the Talking Transfers podcast.

According to Bailey, the Saudi club does not believe that Salah’s transfer is completely off the table.

He affirmed that Salah does desire the change of scenery and that Al-Ittihad wouldn’t be attempting it if they didn’t believe they had a possibility.

According to Bailey’s sources at Al-Ittihad, if they didn’t believe there was a chance, they wouldn’t be putting out the effort.

“FSG hasn’t given the go-ahead, but you know, this isn’t completely off the table.

“We think that [Mohamed Salah] wants to leave and move,” the statement continued.

Fans may be concerned despite Liverpool’s steadfast assertion that Salah is not for sale at any price.

According to reports, Al-Ittihad believed Salah wants to join them and that they have gotten some little encouragement from Liverpool.

Of course, this is a big development in a story that may lead to a transfer agreement that breaks all records.

Al-Ittihad are certain they can bring Salah to their team from Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah, 31, joined Liverpool in 2017 for a reported £34 million cost.

Salah is now a Liverpool legend, and the club has already turned down a £150 million offer from Al-Ittihad.

Given his advanced age, there is some discussion about whether Liverpool should sell Salah now, but Jurgen Klopp does not want to lose his star.

Klopp and Liverpool appear to be very resolute in their stance.

It therefore comes as a surprise that Al-Ittihad is said to be so confident that they can strike an agreement.

Of course, Liverpool would be unable to sign a replacement before January if they approved a deal today.

Federico Chiesa and Leroy Sane are apparently candidates for Klopp to replace Salah.

They were intended for a time in the future, though.
