The Red Devils paid a fee of £50million to lure the English right back from Selhurst Park but it will be fair to say that he has failed to live up to the price tag.

Under the management of Ten Hag, Wan-Bissaka has been in and out of the starting XI and this term, he has only started nine games in the Premier League thus far.

United triggered the one-year extension in the 26-year-old defender’s deal which will now expire in 2025 and have stopped Palace from signing him on a bosman next summer.

Man Utd are now in a stronger position as Wan-Bissaka can be used as an ace card to make a swap move and beat Liverpool to sign Michael Olise.

According to FT, the Anfield club have engaged in the fight with the Old Trafford outfit to sign Olise, who has netted 5 goals in 7 starts under Hodgson in the current campaign.

The news source have mentioned that Palace will only sell their prized asset if the £60million clause in his contract is met.

The Merseysiders look at him as a replacement for Salah. On the other hand, United need a quality player like the former Reading winger to replace Antony, who has been a flop since joining us from Ajax.

Have your say – Do you think Man Utd should beat Liverpool to secure the signing of Olise?
