The New York Knicks lost Josh Hart to injury in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, and questions linger about his status for Game 7.

Hart is suffering from an abdominal strain that he suffered in Game 6, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The veteran wing is expected to try to play through the injury on Sunday, but there is not yet any guarantee that he will actually be able to go.

Hart may well be limited even if he does play Sunday. Even that would be a huge blow for the Knicks, who are already short-handed due to numerous injuries. OG Anunoby has already been ruled out for Game 7 due to his hamstring strain, which has already caused him to miss four consecutive games.

Hart has become a core piece for the Knicks during their playoff run. He is averaging nearly 43 minutes per night for Tom Thibodeau’s team during the postseason, averaging 14.9 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
