Bennett Warren is sure to be one of the most physically impressive prospects at the 2024 All-American Bowl. The four-star offensive tackle from Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian Academy is a towering figure, and he should catch some eyes once he takes the field.
At 6-foot-7.5, 330 pounds, Warren is ranked as the No. 8 offensive tackle in the nation and No. 13 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports. Coming from a smaller private school in a public school-dominated state like Texas, Warren hasn’t had the spotlight on the field. He’s excited to take part in the game and test himself against the best.
“I think it’s an amazing blessing,” he said. “I honestly would never bet coming from a small private school I’d end up playing in such a prestigious game with some of the best players in America, so it’s just a real joy and a blessing.”
Warren has never seen the game before, but he’s heard it talked about. Warren plans to soak up the experience while he’s there.
“I’ve never actually watched it,” he said. “I’ve heard about it. I’ve only ever watched the senior bowl, but never the high school one. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s about.”
While crossing the country on recruiting visits throughout the last two years, Warren made many friends on recruiting visits. The game will be an opportunity to see some old faces before they all head off to college.
“I think one of my guys Jordan Ross is playing in it,” he said. “I’m excited to play against him before we end up in college playing against each other. A couple of other guys I know are playing in it too. There’s a whole lot of people that I know or I met on visits, so it will be a cool opportunity to see the guys again before we are off across the country.”
Warren’s recruitment was a contested match between several schools. Michigan was one of those programs and the Wolverines are still in hot pursuit of Warren, but he’s not planning on listening to any programs other than Tennessee.
“The only other school coming after me at this point is Michigan, but I’m all in with Tennessee,” he said. “There’s no switching at this point.”
Warren will need to make some adjustments at the next level. He feels his biggest growth will need to be in the run game if he wants to be successful in the SEC.
“I’m working on my run game,” he said. “Coming from here to there, I think it’s going to be a big jump up.”
