Juventus target Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is reportedly ready to leave Tottenham in January due to his lack of playing time, but the Bianconeri cannot buy him permanently unless they complete a major transfer.

Calciomercato.com reports Højbjerg’s agents have been in touch with several European clubs lately as their client is struggling with playing time under new coach Ange Postecoglou.

Højbjerg has been linked with a move to Juventus as the Bianconeri may need a long-time replacement for Paul Pogba who has temporarily been suspended after failing a doping test.

Tottenham’s asking price for their midfielder is €30m, a fee Juventus can’t afford unless they sell one of their players for a hefty fee. If this doesn’t happen, their only chance to get Højbjerg in January would be through a loan deal.

Højbjerg, 28, has only played 169 minutes in North London this season and hasn’t started any Premier League game so far.
