The Arizona Cardinals aren’t willing to rule out Kyler Murray.

ARIZONA — The Arizona Cardinals are just days away from their Week 8 battle against the Baltimore Ravens, one that could see the arrival of franchise quarterback Kyler Murray.

It’s been a long road to recovery for Murray, who was designated to return from PUP last week after tearing his ACL/meniscus late last season. He practiced all three days leading up to Week 7 on a limited basis, though he was a full participant this past Wednesday and was completely removed from the injury report yesterday.

Is Murray playing?

“We’ll see,” said Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon on Friday. Gannon said Murray was doing “excellent” mentally while adding he’s fully healthy.

PHNX Sports recently revealed the intrigue around Murray’s status come Friday, as a player who doesn’t have an injury designation today must be on the active roster come Sunday.

Murray, who apparently is healthy, must have some sort of designation (questionable, doubtful, out) attached to his name later today or the Cardinals must not only officially activate him from PUP on Saturday, but also have him active on Sunday.

It’s an interesting situation to monitor as the day progresses, and while still not likely from an outsider’s perspective, the window for Murray to return this weekend against Baltimore is still very much open.
