In preparation for the transfer deadline, Tottenham Hotspur is now concentrating on a number of outgoings. There is still time for Spurs to add additional players before the transfer market closes on Friday, though. Brennan Johnson is reportedly a priority target for Tottenham as they continue to attempt to add attacking reinforcements. The forward from Nottingham Forest, according to Sky Sports writer Michael Bridge, would cost almost £40 million. Additionally, he believes that Johnson is the player that Tottenham wants to sign before the deadline more than any other. Michael Bridge, a fellow Sky Sports journalist, has since provided an update on X that is encouraging for Spurs’ chances. Johnson has reportedly been pursued by Brentford in addition to Tottenham. West Londoners are now looking elsewhere, though. After the Bees turned their attention to PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko, Thomas claims that Spurs now “appear to have a clear run at Johnson.” One of the top young forwards in the Premier League, Johnson appears to be prepared for the next phase of his career. He has been described as a “complete” forward who is “very fast” and “devastating,” and he seems like a nice match for Tottenham. Watch how negotiations between Spurs and Forest go tomorrow.
