The latest Nottingham Forest news as the Reds return to action on Monday night as they take on newly-promoted Burnley at the City Ground.

Josh Brownhill, a midfielder for Burnley, has warned Nottingham Forest that when they visit the City Ground on Monday (7.45 p.m. kickoff), they will be playing for the victory.

The Clarets have had a challenging start to life back in the Premier League, having dropped each of their first three games. After losing 5-2 against Tottenham in their most recent game, Vincent Kompany’s team is currently last in the standings on goal differential.

After a two-week international break, Forest hosts Burnley. The Reds are confident going into the game, unlike their opponents. In their most recent contest, Steve Cooper’s team defeated Chelsea 1-0.

But Brownhill has hinted that Forest’s Stamford Bridge result will not phase him and his teammates as they go in search of their first win of the season.

We had a really difficult start. You go in there [the dressing room] and the players are going down, rightfully so, because we didn’t have our best performance,” he said after the loss to Tottenham, via Burnley Express.

“But it was a long season, a difficult season. It’s completely different to last season, so we have to stick with it, keep learning, but we also have to take it to the next level because the Premier League is like that.

“There’s a bit of a break now, it’s a chance to relax and get back to the Forest game, which is a big game for us where we’ll play for 100 to win. win.”

Burnley were promoted by winning the league title last season in Kompany’s first season in charge of the club. They signed 15 new players over the summer and Brownhill has a Premier League message for his new team-mates.

We’ve recruited some quality players, you can see it in spells. On the ball individually they’re very good,” he added.

But sometimes it’s out of possession, it’s about reacting and doing things without the ball, but they’re going to learn.

“We’re new still. In the Championship you can get away with a little bit of a slow start because the quality isn’t as good, whereas here if you give the ball away, the next second you can be 1-0 down and 2-0 down.

“There’s some young lads in there and they’ll learn from this. It’s down to us experienced lads who have been here before to realise we’ve got to keep believing.”
