You will be hard-pressed to find a recruit on the offensive side of the ball talking about Alabama without mentioning JaMarcus Shephard. The man with three titles — assistant head coach, co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach — brings unlimited energy to the practice facility and on the field. Top receiver targets like Caleb Cunningham, CJ Wiley and Travis Smith Jr. have raved about him after visits.

The latest conversation with another 2025 pass-catcher turned in the same results. Four-star Marcus Harris (Santa Ana, CA) returned to Tuscaloosa over the weekend for a two-day visit. This marks the second time he has been on campus since the coaching change and third as a recruit. Plus, he has an official visit (May 31) lined up already too.

The relationships between the Mater Dei (Calif.) High School standout and the new staff have been established for a while. Kalen DeBoer, Shephard and general manager Courtney Morgan were heavily recruiting Harris while at Washington.

Bama247 will be in Phoenix (Az.) beginning Wednesday afternoon providing full coverage as the Crimson Tide gear up for the national semifinal showdown. You can expect regular interviews, videos, analysis, updates, thoughts, breakdowns and more! There’s also plenty of stuff going on in Tuscaloosa with three spring football practices and the Crimson Tide competing in another scrimmage set for Saturday afternoon.
