Before they went their separate ways, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers formed one of the most lethal connections in the NFL when both were members of the Green Bay Packers.

Adams and Rodgers were teammates for eight years in Green Bay before the Packers decided to trade the All-Pro pass-catcher to the Raiders during the 2022 offseason.

This past offseason, Rodgers was the one who got traded when Green Bay sent him out the door after making a deal with the Jets.

On Sunday night, Las Vegas is hosting New York in a Week 10 matchup, so naturally, Adams and Rodgers had to catch up on Saturday before their current teams face off (via Ari Meirov on Twitter).

Rodgers has hardly played this season, thanks mostly to the Achilles injury he suffered back in Week 1 during his first-ever regular-season offensive drive with the Jets.

Since then, New York fans have held out hope that the 39-year-old quarterback can defy the odds and recover from his serious injury in time to return before the end of the 2023 season.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, Adams and his teammates have had quite the eventful last few weeks.

After starting their 2023 schedule with five losses in their first eight games, the Raiders decided to fire head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler before the team’s Week 9 game.

Adams and Las Vegas then proceeded to go out and get a victory last Sunday against the New York Giants, and now they’re currently sitting with a 4-5 record heading into their Week 10 showdown against Rodgers and the Jets.
