Yilmaz’s future at Rangers has come under the scanner due to interest from several clubs in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Hellas Verona have their eyes on getting him but Galatasaray are the ones who are really pushing to sign the Turkish defender.

They have now failed with an offer to sign him on loan with an option to buy, but the interest from Galatasaray is not going away amid suggestions Rangers want a mandatory purchase clause in any loan.

If Galatasaray agree then a deal can be done and it would be one Yilmaz would approve of, according to Turkish daily Star.

Yilmaz would look upon a move to Galatasaray ‘warmly’, it is claimed, with the defender feeling it would boost his Turkey hopes.

It remains to be seen whether Galatasaray come back with another offer for Yilmaz or consider other alternative targets.

Rangers are looking at left-backs as weall but they are unlikely to sign one as long as the Turkish defender has not left this month.
