Not all Denver Broncos players felt the love after their 19-17 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. That goes tenfold for Denver safety Kareem Jackson, who got ejected on Sunday for unnecessary roughness against Green Bay tight end Luke Musgrave.

Jackson took to social media the day following his team’s second win of the season to share direct messages, also known as ‘DMs,” that he received on Instagram that were both homophobic and racist.

This is really awful and needs to end. #Broncos Safety Kareem Jackson received racist DMs after the #Packers game, using the n-word, he shared on Instagram. There is no excuse to speaking to another person like that, doesn’t matter if their athletes. They are people first and should be treated with basic decency and respect. It is *completely* unacceptable no matter what they did or how they played during the game. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen it this season but hopefully it will the last, fans need to stop doing these stuff immediately.

Denver Broncos Safety Kareem Jackson: Ejected for Unnecessary Roughness on Sunday

Jackson earned his second ejection of the season in Week 7 against the Packers. The 35-year-old received the boot after launching himself helmet first into a defenseless receiver. The two players made helmet-to-helmet contact on the play, and officials ejected Jackson for initiating the contact.

He is more than likely looking at a hefty fine coming via the league office, and it would be his fifth such this season. Jackson got hit with a massive $43,709 fine for unnecessary roughness in Week 6 and collected $45,961 for three separate unnecessary roughness calls during the season’s first three games.

Kareem Jackson: NFL Career

Kareem Jackson is in his fifth year with the Broncos and his 14th in the NFL. Despite never making a Pro Bowl, the former first-round pick has accumulated nearly 1,000 tackles in his career while snagging 27 interceptions and scoring four times. His best season came in 2018, his final with the Houston Texans, racking up a career-high 87 tackles, snagging two interceptions, and defending 17 passes.
