Tigers fans fired up after Jason Benetti’s spring training broadcast debut

Time will tell if the Tigers free agent acquisitions make a positive impact this season.

But reviews are in on Bally Sports’ new Tigers play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti, and the hire appears to be a home run.

Benetti made his Tigers broadcasting debut alongside Craig Monroe and Johnny Kane on Monday as Detroit beat the Boston Red Sox in Lakeland, 2-1.

Most of the projected opening day starters were in the lineup and Detroit’s opening day starter, Tarik Skubal was on the mound.
