Dillon Brooks had an eventful evening on Sunday night as the Houston Rockets fell to the Milwaukee Bucks, 128-119. The controversial forward was unable to finish the game after being ejected in the final minute of the fourth quarter for a profanity-laced tirade against a game official. That wasn’t the only incident Brooks was involved in during the game.

At one point in the third quarter, Bucks swingman Pat Connaughton felt the full wrath of Brooks’ elbow. Connaughton, who was playing in just his second game back following a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to an ankle injury, immediately hit the deck after taking an elbow right on the face:

The good news is that Connaughton was able to eventually return to the game after the incident. The last thing Bucks fans want to see right now is the 30-year-old veteran going down again with another injury. Fortunately, this wasn’t the case on Sunday night. “It’s the only way to come back, it’s the only to come back,” Connaughton said, smiling (h/t Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). “By the way it’s one of the harder ones I’ve taken. To be honest with you I couldn’t tell (if it was a basketball play). I just knew I got hit hard. I don’t really know how flagrant fouls work nowadays anyway. Everything can be considered a basketball play or not a basketball play, it all depends whose eyes you’re looking through.”
