Known as “the fifth major of the year” according to Davis Love III, the legendary tournament attracted a field that was deeper than most PGA Tour events.

Rory McIlroy, Nelly Korda, Collin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Sungjae Im were among the notable guests.

Alongside Justin Thomas and his business partner, software millionaire Mike Walrath, Woods was partnered with PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh.

The elite Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida, served as the venue for the single-round competition.

Star-studded players from the entertainment and business industries were represented on the field, which included two-time NBA champion Shane Battier and seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady.

With a better ball score of 64, Frank Edwards and Mackenzie Hughes won the gross event, and with a score of 62 in the net competition, John Pinkham and Erik van Rooyen emerged victorious.

Woods and Waugh finished T44 in the gross, level with South African billionaire businessmen Johann Rupert and Ernie Els, further back in the field, with a score of 70.

Woods and Waugh did marginally better in the gross event, placing T-33 with a score of 67.

Having just announced that he will not be competing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Woods took part in the event.

Only a few weeks had passed since he was forced to withdraw from the Genesis Invitational on the second day because of dehydration and flu-like symptoms.
