Tottenham Hotspur are flying high after a really impressive start to the 2023/24 Premier League under Ange Postecoglou and it appears that they are already planning for the future in the form of a new centre-back signing in Luka Vuskovic.

When does Vuskovic arrive at Spurs?

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Tottenham have now reached an agreement to sign Hadjuk Split defender Luka Vuskovic and it is now also a ‘done deal’. He added that the deal has now been signed with both player and club and he will join the Lilywhites in the future.

However, this journalist also revealed exactly when the 16-year-old midfielder will join the new team and it will not be in the upcoming January transfer window. He said that Vuskovic will join the Lilywhites in 2025, meaning he will continue to develop at the Croatian club for the time being. One of the reasons Spurs have allowed him to stay at his current team for so long is because he will not be allowed to play in England until he is 18 years old.

It is clear that Postecoglou only sees the teenager as a future teenager and has no immediate plans to use him. Vuskovic, who played for Split’s senior side as a youth, is said to have turned down offers from other clubs to join the north London side.

What Can Vuskovic Bring to Tottenham?

The 16-year-old is already quite an intimidating centre-back, standing at an impressive 6’4″ at such a young age and producing some admirable performances for Hadjuk Split’s senior team. The teenager has already made 11 appearances for the Croatian side at the professional level and even scored a goal in that.

The centre-back has even been hailed as ‘unstoppable’ thanks to his impressive performances at senior level and appears to have done enough to convince Tottenham’s scouts to recommend him to the board.
