The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder is one of the top-ranked players in the transfer portal and has already been offered by Northwestern, Washington, Florida, Missouri, TCU, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Oregon State, Vanderbilt, Miami, Louisville, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech, Illinois, Rutgers, Houston, Pittsburgh, BYU and UConn. Kris Jenkins will be in the NFL next season, but the Wolverines wil still have Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, and Rayshaun Benny coming back.

Kicker James Turner, tight end A.J. Barner, and offensive tackle LaDarius Henderson are just some of the names that contributed to the win over Ohio State on Saturday. If the Wolverines are going to have a shot to win another Big Ten championship, they will need to add even more talent from the transfer portal. The big question mark is going to be at the quarterback position. If J.J. McCarthy decides to come back, then Michigan football won’t need a transfer quarterback at all, outside of maybe a backup. Yet, it’s clear that Michigan is going to be active again as the Wolverines have already extended an offer to defensive tackle Joey Slackman.

However, you can never have enough depth. Cam Goode will also be gone and going to Penn makes it seem like Slackman would be a good fit academically. Plus, the Wolverines have been outstanding at developing defensive line talent. Here is a summary from the Wolverine on Slackman’s last season at Penn.
