After the Minnesota Wild selected him in the third round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Dewar honed his skills in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Iowa Wild. He’s been preparing himself for the challenges of the NHL. For me, that it wasn’t easy is a benefit as well. It instills a work ethic.
Third, Dewar’s defensive ability and versatility on the ice set him apart. He might not become a flashy scorer, but his commitment to playing a responsible two-way game has earned him recognition. For me, that means he can contribute to different aspects of the game, including penalty-killing and defensive responsibilities. These are huge playoff needs for any team that wants to survive the toughness of the context. They might make him a valuable asset for any team.
