The Montreal team, which has already played in front of four of the top five attendances of our inaugural season, will have the opportunity to break the Toronto team’s previous world attendance record and write a new chapter in the history of women’s hockey at the Bell Centre, according to PWHL vice-president of field hockey operations Jayna Hefford.

Since the start of the season, our supporters have been requesting this game to be held at the Bell Centre, and we are pleased to be able to oblige them. General manager Danièle Sauvageau of Montreal said, “It’s exciting to know that we’ll be playing in the biggest hockey arena in North America, and I’m sure our fans will be louder than ever.”

This match between theIn a news statement issued Tuesday morning, the Women’s Professional Hockey League confirmed that Montreal will play Toronto at the Bell Centre on April 20.

This game between the Toronto and Montreal teams will take the place of the one that was originally planned for the Verdun Auditorium on April 21. Before tickets for the game on April 20 at the Bell Centre go on sale to the general public, ticket holders for this event will be notified.

With 19,285 spectators, the women’s hockey match between Montreal and Toronto at Scotiabank Arena, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, broke a record for attendance.
