With OG Anunoby getting traded to the New York Knicks, the Philadelphia 76ers now have to pivot their potential trade avenues. The Detroit Pistons have been a team connected to them in rumors, but it appears they have no plans on moving one of their more valuable pieces. Over the past month, there have been multiple reports that the Pistons are interested in Tobias Harris.

The Sixers have no plans on moving the veteran forward at the moment, but if they did, Bojan Bogdanovic would likely be a player of interest. That said, James Edwards of The Athletic reported that Detroit doesn’t want to trade him. “I’ve heard and continue to hear is that there are no plans to trade Bogdanović unless Detroit gets an offer it can’t refuse. The Pistons want to be good and don’t want to trade good players, even if Bogdanovic’s role is reduced to a bench scorer next season.”

Since joining the Pistons last year, Bogdanovic has had some of his best scoring seasons. This year, he is averaging 19.6 PPG and shooting 37% from three on high volume. Bogdanovic is also on a fairly reasonable contract. He is owed $20 million this season, and his $19 million salary for next year is partially guaranteed. From a fit perspective, Bogdanovic is someone who makes sense for the Sixers.

He is a capable scorer and is someone who isn’t afraid to let it fly from deep. Adding another effective high-volume outside shooter around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey would only help open the floor more for the star duo. The Pistons might not be willing to move Bogdanovic now, but things could change before the February 8th deadline.
