For the 2023–24 season, West Ham United has officially announced three new additions to David Moyes’ coaching staff.

According to the West Ham website, John Heitinga, Mark Robson, and Henry Newman have joined the manager’s first-team staff.

The group completes Moyes’ reserve team for the season together with Billy McKinlay, Kevin Nolan, and goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero, according to West Ham.

I’ve known John for a very long time’, Moyes told the West Ham website. “Since starting his coaching career in the Ajax Academy and moving up to their first squad, he has received some really valuable experience.

“Mark and Henry have both earned the chance to advance within our structure and are already well known to everyone here at the club.

“John, Mark, and Henry will all contribute experience in various fields and strengthen the areas where we already excel as a coaching team, joining Billy, Kevin, and Xavi.”

Staff strengthened

Following the departure of club captain Declan Rice, West Ham spent the summer improving their team. However, it is now time to improve the coaching staff.

The previous Hammers coaching staff was obviously doing a great job based on the team’s success in the club’s first four Premier League games, but it won’t hurt to bring in some more seasoned individuals.

They will undoubtedly be of assistance to Moyes moving ahead, as the manager is expected to face a great deal of pressure once the Hammers begin their Europa League campaign.

After a busy summer, the London Stadium team has had a great start, winning both games against Chelsea and Brighton by scores of 3-1.

The Hammers also squared off against recently promoted Luton Town, winning 2-1 after drawing 1-1 at Bournemouth on the first day of the season.

With their 10 points, they are now tied for second place in the standings, two points behind leaders and reigning champions Manchester City.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have a new hero after startling statistics from the Premier League were discovered following the team’s recent victory over Luton.
