West Ham United have completed the signing of Polish international goalkeeper Kinga Szemik on a three-year contract.

Szemik joins West Ham United after spending the last two seasons with French club Stade de Reims.

She played 29 matches with the club in the Arkema Premier League.

The 27-year-old has also represented Polish club TS Mitech Żywiec, American university side University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros and French side FC Nantes during her senior career to date.

In the international arena, Szemik has been selected by Poland 17 times.

She has been in and around the senior team since 2018.

After signing for West Ham United, Szemik said: “I am delighted to sign for West Ham United.

West Ham is one of England’s biggest clubs with a rich history.

The WSL is also the best league in the world, having grown a lot over the years.

I think it’s the best place to develop as a player and as a person.

“There’s always room for improvement and that’s what I’m looking forward to the most: developing as a player and trying to help the team as much as I can.

“I’m looking forward to working and meeting the West Ham fans.
