Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that Liverpool will not sell Mohamed Salah this summer, with Saudi Arabian professional league Al-Ittihad set to make a better offer for the 31-year-old.

Jurgen Klopp has said Liverpool will reject any bids for Mohamed Salah as Al-Ittihad prepare another eye-catching bid.

Al-Ittihad’s initial bid of £150m for Salah, 31, was rejected by the Reds on Friday. Despite their bid being rejected, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are ready to make a further bid before the Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on September 7.

However, according to Liverpool hierarchy Klopp, Salah will not leave the Reds this summer.

“I never had any doubts about his commitment to this club,” Klopp added of Salah’s performance.

“You cannot imagine how much noise the world has made, but how quiet we are about it.

– He is our player and wants to play here. He didn’t tell me [he wanted to stay], but he didn’t have to. He talks about his training and performances and behavior. We had meetings this week and the meetings were not about what we did before, but about what we will do in the future.

“Mo was on the player [management] committee and he had moments where he spoke and it wasn’t like, ‘By the way, it’s not until next week’ or whatever. He’s totally here and when Dom said, [he was told. the players he wants to stay], good.

“I don’t need you to come into my office and tell me ‘by the way, boss… [I’m not going]’. It hasn’t been a problem for me for a moment, frankly, except for outside questions.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool goalscorer Dominik Szoboszlai also confirmed that Salah has told his team-mates that he wants to stay at Anfield.
