It sure sounds like it’ll be Josh Dobbs throwing passes to Justin Jefferson in Las Vegas next Sunday. Dobbs’ starting job is up in the air with head coach Kevin O’Connell noncommittal about who will start when the Vikings return from the bye. Dobbs threw four interceptions in Minnesota’s loss to the Bears last Monday after a suboptimal performance the week prior in Denver. With Nick Mullens and rookie Jaren Hall both healthy, the Vikings could one of three ways at QB against the Raiders, which also will mark the return of Jefferson.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic, who has been accurate in her Vikings reporting, wrote Saturday that her “sense” is the Vikings will stick with Dobbs. The Vikings are on a bye this week, but a league source said Jefferson is expected to practice in full and be ready to play against the Raiders in Week 14,” Russini wrote. “The next big question will be, who is throwing the ball to him? Josh Dobbs or Nick Mullens. My early sense is the team will be sticking with Dobbs. The team is back in the building on Monday.”

At 6-6, the Vikings have little room for error, especially with the Packers now just behind in the standings at 5-6.After a trip to Vegas, Minnesota goes to Cincinnati for a Saturday game on Dec. 16 and they host the Lions on Christmas Eve, host the Packers in New Year’s Eve and then wrap up the regular season in Detroit.
