The 49ers have a relatively clean bill of health entering Week 6, now welcoming back Elijah Mitchell in to the fold.

The San Francisco 49ers running back made a fully-padded appearance Thursday, the first time in weeks. The Louisiana alum was seen taking snaps and sprinting effortlessly during the media portion of practice, indicating that his lower body ailment has cleared up.

There is no official word on his practice status as of now.

Elijah Mitchell, 25, has been in and out of the lineup the last two seasons, suffering from numerous knee injuries. He only featured in five regular season contests in 2022, due to two sprained MCLs. This season hasn’t been much different, only playing in two of the five games so far.

Additionally, left guard Aaron Banks was seen at practice for a second consecutive day. Banks suffered a mild shoulder strain Week 5 against the Cowboys, painful enough for him to miss the entire second half. Luckily, the ailment was closer to shoulder, initially feared to have suffered a season-ending torn bicep.

Not all injury news is good however as linebacker Dre Greenlaw was missing from action for a second-straight day. The Arkansas alum has been dealing with a lingering ankle injury for the past few weeks, playing through the discomfort.

Left tackle Trent Williams and tight end George Kittle returned to practice Thursday after a veteran rest day.
