The conversation surrounding Caitlin Clark has gotten a lot more intense since she got left off the Olympics squad. Nonetheless, this does not change the fact that she often plays with the Indiana Fever with a target on her back. Their latest WNBA matchup against the Connecticut Sun may have been a disheartening demolition job but that was not what took center stage. Instead, it was an interaction between her and Dijonai Carringto that went triple platinum on social media.

Caitlin Clark was fighting through Dijonai Carrington’s coverage in the middle of the Fever and Sun’s clash. The guard would then get nudged and have a slight reaction to getting hit with the pick. Officials deemed it a foul. Dijonai Carrington would then make a gesture that seemingly made fun of the Fever star’s flop.

A lot of avid WNBA spectators saw this and had to give their own takes. Some acted like they were armchair referees while others just had to let out their opinions.

That’s a foul because Clark already started moving in a given direction and Carrington just ran into the trajectory regardless of her effort to hold back her belly,” a user wrote.

Others were not too keen on the comments that were bashing the Fever star, “People in the comments acting like Caitlin did anything but play on. She ain’t the one blowing the whistle.”
