Ange Postecoglou wants to get rid of 26-year-old Tottenham player

The Frenchman is a tremendous talent, but for one reason or another, he seems to have wasted his quality and potential. He is currently on loan in Turkey at Galatasaray, and it has been claimed that they don’t want him. Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham aren’t too keen on keeping him either.

Tottenham signed Tanguy Ndombele for a club-record fee back in the summer of 2019.

The 26-year-old midfielder was one of the most talented youngsters in Europe at the time. A number of top clubs were keen to sign him, but Mauricio Pochettino‘s side won the race in the end.

Ndombele came in with a lot of hype, but he has been a huge disappointment. No manager he has worked under at Tottenham has fancied him, including Ange Postecoglou, who gave him a chance in pre-season before the start of this campaign.

His loan spell in Turkey at Galatasaray has been an absolute disaster as well so far, and there have been talks that they want to send him back to Tottenham in January due to his ‘unprofessional’ behaviour.

Now, journalist Ryan Taylor has claimed that the writing is on the wall for Ndombele.

He said on Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel: “As for Ndombele I think the writing’s on the wall for him, unfortunately.

“I think it’s pretty clear that Postecoglou who wanted to move him on after what he saw from him in the summer in pre-season when he had a fresh chance to start afresh.

Spurs need to let him go

We understand why Daniel Levy is not too keen on letting Ndombele leave for nothing, but he may not have much choice now.

The Frenchman has struggled at every club he has been sent out on loan to. The current one in Turkey seems to be the worst of them all, and there is no sign that things will get better.

When Ndombele does return to Tottenham – either in January or in the summer – Levy should make one final attempt to offload him permanently.

If he can’t, he should just terminate his contract, reach a settlement with the player, and move on to bigger and better things.

“It’s a shame because we all know the talent’s there, it’s just not worked out.”
