Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has given two Spurs players a timely injury boost.
The Tottenham manager has confirmed that Spurs duo Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil will both be available for Saturday’s game. With Arsenal and Manchester City out of action until Sunday afternoon, Spurs would remain at the top of the table for at least 24 hours.
And if Tottenham do well – they win and draw their title rivals – they will go top and stay there after the international break.
Lo Celso and Gil both thought of Postecoglou, but neither started the season well. The reason is injuries – Lo Celso only managed 61 minutes before missing four games with a horn injury.
Meanwhile, Gil went under the knife in August with a groin problem and missed the start of the season.
Postecoglou said in his pre-match presser that both players will be available for selection against the Hatters.
“Gio and Bryan Gil have both trained most of this week,” he said, according to football.london.
“Good to have them both back and both available.”
Our point of view
Although Tottenham have been plagued by injuries this season, it is good to hear that Lo Celso and Gil are back. Lo Celso is an amazing player described by a former teammate as “the best player in the world”.
Meanwhile, Gil is a brilliant talent with a great future. Graham Roberts considered him a “minor superstar”.
It will be exciting to see how both can develop under Postecoglou. He has the Midas touch, so hopefully both will shine in Angeball.
