We knew the teams, now we know the dates — Tennessee’s 2024 football schedule is officially set. The SEC revealed the full 2024 slate on Wednesday night in a made for TV event as the league expands to 16 teams. The addition of Texas and Oklahoma will eliminate divisions starting next season, which meant an overhaul of the scheduling process.

Tennessee will head to Oklahoma next season on September 21st, swapping out their traditional date with Florida. Former Sooner quarterback and offensive coordinator Josh Heupel will make his return to Norman, and you’ll know he’ll have that one circled after a bit of a messy exit.

The Tennessee-Florida game shifts to October 12th, which will be the biggest traditional change on the 2024 slate. The Volunteers will get a two-game homestand there, hosting the Gators and Crimson Tide in back to back weeks.

Outside of that, there’s nothing too crazy different here. The SEC filled in the blanks with an October 5th road trip to Arkansas and a November 9th meeting with Mississippi State. That game will feature former Josh Heupel offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, who takes over in Starkville. The full schedule is listed below, following the official reveal from Tennessee.

The Tennessee Volunteers have officially confirmed their 2024 game date against the Florida Gators. The two sides will meet in Neyland Stadium on October 12, 2024, with the Vols looking to avenge a dismal 2023 loss that sparked a lot of questions from pundits.
