With the No. 6 pick in Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft the New York Giants selected LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Quarterbacks went with the first three selections in the draft. Caleb Williams No. 1 to the Chicago Bears, Jayden Daniels No. 2 to the Washington Commanders, Drake Maye No. 3 to the New England Patriots.

The Arizona Cardinals chose wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. No. 4 and the Los Angeles Chargers took offensive tackle Joe Alt No. 5.

In selecting Nabers, the Giants bypassed Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

There had been discussion of the Giants trying to trade up to No. 3 for Maye, but that did not come to fruition.
