Following Liverpool’s dominating victory over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon, Jurgen Klopp has singled out Mohamed Salah for praise.

At Anfield, strikes from Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai gave the Reds a 3-0 victory.

Within the first three minutes of the game, Szoboszlai scored with a fantastic strike, and 20 minutes later, Matty Cash put the ball in his own net.

Darwin Nunez’s flicked header from a corner was followed by Salah’s timely arrival at the back post as Liverpool completed an amazing victory.

Naturally, Salah has dominated the headlines during the past week as a result of Liverpool rejecting an offer of £150 million from Al Ittihad.

However, Jurgen Klopp has emphasised that Salah is content at Anfield and that he was impressed with his performance today.

Salah and Klopp

Speaking to Sky Sports, Klopp praised Salah for his outstanding performance following a week of rumours.

He said, “He played a fantastic game. Mo had to put in a lot of effort, which he did.

“I never questioned his dedication to our team. How calm we are in the face of the world’s uproar is beyond comprehension. He wants to play here and is our player, according to BBC Sport.

Today, Salah demonstrated once more how crucial he is to this Liverpool team, so it comes as no surprise that Klopp has no plans to let him transfer to the Middle East.

In just four appearances this season, the £34 million player has already scored two goals and provided two assists.

Liverpool has had a fantastic start to the new season and today they picked up their third straight league victory.

With Salah in their lineup, the Reds have a far better chance of contending at the top of the table, and Klopp will definitely be heartened by the early signs this season.
