Glen Kamara has left Rangers to join Leeds United for a reported $5 million price, the club has revealed.

The international player from Finland decided to leave the Ibrox club this season and hasn’t featured for them since.

Four years after joining Rangers for £50,000 from Dundee, Kamara departs the team.

The 27-year-old played over 190 times for Rangers, contributing nine goals while helping the side win the Scottish Cup and the Premiership in 2021 without losing a game.

In addition, he played a significant role in the Europa League’s journey to the 2022 championship, scoring an important goal in the 3-1 semifinal triumph over RB Leipzig

Rangers Football Club confirmed Glen Kamara’s transfer to Leeds United for an undisclosed sum in a statement.

The midfielder spent five seasons at Ibrox and made over 190 appearances before moving to the club in January 2019 from Dundee.

With 51 appearances during the league-winning season, Kamara had a significant role in Light Blue’s victories in the Scottish Cup and the league championship in 2020–21.

The Finland international helped Rangers reach their first European final since 2008 with a standout goal in the 3-1 win against RB Leipzig in the Europa League in 2021–2022.

“Everyone at Rangers thanks Glen for his time spent with the team and wishes him the best in his future endeavours.”

Four days prior, the Glasgow club loaned midfielder Ianis Hagi to Alaves for the duration of the campaign.
