South Korean star joins Pepsi’s football line up alongside Vini Jr and Leah Williamson ahead of EA Sports FC 24 game launch

Today, Pepsi has announced the signing of its latest global ambassador Son Heung-min in a multi-year deal which will see the footballer feature in the brand’s new and exciting EA SPORTS FC partnership.

The announcement was revealed through Pepsi’s Instagram channel, after Son was snapped at the EA SPORTS FC 24 early access event in London last week, holding up an iconic Pepsi jersey, officially declaring him part of the soft-drink brand’s exciting roster of football talent.

Speaking on the announcement, Son commented, “As a huge gaming fan, it’s a privilege to be part of this epic collaboration with EA SPORTS FC while teaming up with such a globally revered brand like Pepsi. The brand’s commitment to bringing joy, energy, and excitement into people’s lives under its Thirsty for More tagline is something that resonates deeply with me and I see a strong synergy between my values and the aspirations of Pepsi. I’m buzzing for the world to see what we’ve got planned in 2023 and beyond!”

Son – who is widely regarded as the greatest Asian footballer of all time and one of the best players in the English Premier League – will join Pepsi’s renowned list of players and trailblazers, including Vini Jr and Leah Williamson, completing Pepsi’s lucrative, star studded line-up of talent to support its EA SPORTS FC 24 campaign. Each of Pepsi’s football talents will feature in a range of campaign activities that aim to quench fans’ thirst for all things football and gaming.

This partnership announcement coincides with Pepsi’s global ‘Thirsty For More’ platform, which aims to provide innovative, exhilarating moments for modern-day fans around the world – something that Son, Leah and Vini Jr are no strangers to.
