Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur promised that this week he would make some changes in his team’s preparation. The offense especially has come out flat in the last four games in the first half. In his press conference today, LaFleur revealed what he is doing differently in practice to try and help his team.

Green Bay Packers Matt LaFleur Reveals Change In Practice

LaFleur revealed that he moved the padded practice up from Thursday to Wednesday. He said that this decision was based on the “feel” of his team. Apparently, the Thursday padded practice was not working out for a lot of the players. The drawback of the Wednesday padded practice is that the players haven’t recovered fully from Sunday’s game and LaFleur mentioned they were monitoring that. This could be a completely flexible part of the week depending on the previous week’s game.

Glad He Is Trying Something New

I guess this is a good thing. Having never been on an NFL team, I don’t understand the nuances of the rhythm of the week. We should applaud LaFleur for trying something even if it was rather delayed. This may seem like a small change but the hope is that it has a big impact on Sunday’s game, especially the first half. The Rams haven’t made it official but Matthew Stafford may not play in this game. If he does, the thumb injury will be an issue. Regardless of whether they win or not, this team has to show some type of progress.

Matt LaFleur may be starting to feel the heat from Green Bay Packers fans. There are problems across the board with this team and the hope is that the practice change helps bring a different result to Sunday.
