The Minnesota Vikings will welcome in the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football this week.
The Vikings got the win over the Bears in the first matchup, so they will be going for the sweep here.
In order for that to happen, a few players will need to have big games. Let’s identify who these key players are.
Danielle Hunter
The Chicago Bears do not have a particularly good offensive line. The team allows an average of 2.9 sacks per game and ranks as the No. 25 offensive line in terms of pass protection.
Danielle Hunter will need to have a big night against this offensive line. Hunter is behind only Myles Garrett in total sacks this season with 12. If Hunter can disrupt at the line of scrimmage, the Vikings should be in a good position. Getting to Justin Fields will likely be the difference in this game.
If Justin Jefferson misses MNF, Addison will easily be the most important player for the Vikes. Even if Jefferson plays, Addison will still play a big role. This Minnesota offense has been a little lackluster without Jefferson, with Addison and KJ Osborn failing to really take the next step.
This could be the perfect opportunity for Addison to show that he can handle No. 1 receiver duty. Joshua Dobbs has relied on TJ Hockenson mainly, so Addison needs to come out and make some plays.
The Vikings have been unable to get much going on the ground this season, and the Bears have a solid run defense. This will put even more pressure on the passing offense.
Jordan Addison

Camryn Bynum has had a fantastic season in 2023. The safety has firmly cemented his role as a top safety and leads the team in tackles.
The Chicago Bears do not usually get much going through the air. However, the Bears do sport a top 5 rushing attack. Bynum will need to help out in the run game and make sure Justin Fields doesn’t break any big runs. Containing Fields and the Bears’ multiple running backs will be key in this game.
