Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has won over even more football fans around the world after showing off his philanthropic side during a Q&A with the club.

Postecoglou – who was named Premier League manager of the month in August after two wins against Manchester United and Bournemouth and a draw against Brentford – ensured that Owen, a Spurs fan with Down syndrome, was heard in the room.

Owen – who in the room said he was patiently waiting to be heard – wanted to know how his beloved team would beat fierce rivals Arsenal this weekend in the north London derby.

“Aussie Ange” happily agreed.

“Wait, first there’s one more question. He had the best questions,” Postecoglou told MC Nihal Arthanayake, who was looking to bring the proceedings to a close.

The emotional moment with the passionate fans warmed the hearts of Spurs supporters, who were delighted to move into second place – and unbeaten – after five Premier League games.

“This is amazing [by Ange] in every way,” one fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I’m so glad he’s at our football club… A great manager and a great person,” said another. “Spurs have a gem here and he seems to have changed the atmosphere of the club and the connection with the fans from the moment he walked through the door, man,” a third speak.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who has been widely criticized after retaining the services of the former Socceroos boss, described the Australian as a “breath of fresh air” for the club.

“To be honest, I had a lot of pressure to sign someone with a big name,” he said.

“I just want someone who understands our DNA, plays attacking football, gives opportunities to young players, believes in the academy, builds relationships with the fans and understands the resources we have. I have and have not as a club. be part of a team

“I have to say Ange is a breath of fresh air.”

Postecoglou arrived at Tottenham in June after winning plenty of domestic trophies with Celtic in Scotland – including the treble last season.

It also followed success in Japan with Yokohama F. Marinos and Brisbane Roar in the A-League, which included a 36-game run where his team remained unbeaten.

Many of his detractors suggested that the 58-year-old would be out of his depth in England – but as he has spent his entire career in management, Postecoglou has stuck to his attacking philosophy and upset some Fans had to swallow their words.
