Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou affirmed that Son Heung-min never said no when asked to play, even when he was injured.
The Korean player is currently the captain of Spurs. He has always been one of their most important players and he is now more important than ever for Tottenham following the departure of Harry Kane.

Tottenham signed Son Heung-min from Bayer Leverkusen for £22m (talkSPORT) in 2015.
The South Korean had a very difficult first season, but since and until the start of the last season, he has been one of the best players in the country. Son as well as many teammates have gone through an extremely difficult season recently. He looked nothing like his old self, and it was really strange to see.

Speaking about this in his press conference, Ange Postecoglou affirmed that Son’s nature is to be ready to play whenever the coach asks, even if he is injured. He said, according to Football London:
“For Sonny, to be fair, and he said it himself, I don’t think he was 100 per cent last year, but that’s his nature. We asked him to compete. match, he will play and try his best.
“I think that probably affected his performance more than anything else. Last year was a special year for many players because of the World Cup. I don’t think this is a normal year in many ways for the top players.
“There’s no doubt about Sonny’s quality…I don’t think I did anything dramatic to him, I think he just feels better. He has had a good pre-season and enjoys playing for this football club. I think the way we played really suited his current situation. I’m sure there’s more to come.
Son will lead Spurs out vs Liverpool
Tottenham take on Liverpool this evening and captain Son will be the key man.
The South Korean stepped up when his team needed him in the North London derby against Arsenal last weekend. He scored twice to help his side pick up a point, and he will have the same responsibility today.
It’s great for Tottenham fans to see Son playing as well as he is. All the spotlight has been on him since Kane’s departure, and that’s never easy to deal with no matter how good you are.
