Kane joined Bayern Munich in the summer for a fee in the region of £100million

Harry Kane’s sale to Bayern Munich included a buy-back clause, according to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Last month, Kane agreed to a four-year contract with Bayern after Spurs grudgingly agreed to a deal for at least £100 million with the German champions. This was done rather than take the chance that their record goal scorer would run out of time on his contract and go for free after a year.

After joining the team as a youngster, Kane spent 20 years there. In a video greeting to fans after joining Bayern, he suggested that they might one day reunite, saying: “It’s not a goodbye, since you never know how things pan out in the future… I’ll be in touch soon.

Levy asserted that Spurs have the option to repurchase Kane in the future when speaking at a fan forum on Tuesday alongside manager Ange Postecoglou, new captain Heung-min Son, women’s head coach Robert Vilahamn, and Lioness Bethany England.

The chairman mentioned that there was a buyback clause.

Speaking before of Bayern’s Wednesday home Champions League match against Manchester United, Kane said he would constantly keep an eye on Spurs’ advancement.

I’ll continue to keep an eye on Tottenham for the rest of my life and I’m constantly keeping an eye on them, Kane added.

“I’m really happy to see the team playing the way they are and to see the fans happy is a great thing. They’ve got a massive game coming up [Arsenal on Sunday] so, for sure, I’ll see how they get on over the course of the season.”
