After leaving Celtic for Tottenham Hotspur last summer, former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has said that he misses the passionate love of the Scottish supporters.

After leading Celtic to a victorious Triple Crown in his last season, Postecoglou moved on to the Premier League in England. Even though Spurs almost missed out on qualifying for the Champions League the following season, his exciting attacking play has since gained him a lot of supporters in North London.

Though he has moved on to other adventures, the Australian coach still remembers Scotland with fondness. Postecoglou, an ITV pundit, gave a positive evaluation of the Scottish national squad before of their pivotal Euro 2024 matchup with Hungary. In their last group stage game, he strongly expected Steve Clarke’s team to win and maybe earn a historic position in the knockout stages for the first time ever.

Postecoglou declared, “I have to admit that I am riding the Scotland bandwagon.” “Of course, I watched them for a few years while I was at Celtic. That first game was certainly a blowout for them. The first game of a tournament is always difficult since anything might happen. The hosts might be anxious, but Germany was dominating, and that was arguably the most submissive display of the Scottish team I had seen in a while. Their ability to run with intensity was their strength in the second game. They can create issues for the team if they can bring that. They have expressed a desire to create history, thus I believe they will succeed in doing so tomorrow.
