NFL players continue to make it known they don’t care about people’s fantasy football teams, but that didn’t stop Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson from doubling down on Tuesday morning. The All-Pro receiver took to Twitter (also known as X) to fire off a tweet calling out fantasy football enthusiasts bombarding his DMs begging him to play.

Jefferson has not played since early October while dealing with a hamstring injury. The Vikings designated Jefferson to return to practice before Week 10, but the superstar is yet to see game action.
Justin Jefferson: Not the First NFL Player to Sound Off On Fantasy Football Players
Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson was not the first, and will not be the last, player to take a shot at fantasy football players. Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders took to Twitter last season, emphaticly tweeting, “Don’t care about y’all ticket or fantasy and never will!!!!.”
In 2017, standout wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. tweeted, “No offense. I could care less about ur fantasy teams. This is my Real Life. Focusing on gettin healthy and gettin better. 1 day at a time.” Beckham suffered a fractured left ankle that season, playing just four games before landing on the season-ending injured reserve (IR).
Former NFL stars Golden Tate, Chris Johnson, and LeGarrette Blount also gained publicity during their playing days for tweeting how little they care about fantasy football.
Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson: Return Looming
The Minnesota Vikings expect Justin Jefferson to return to the gridiron sooner rather than later. The Vikings opened the 21-day practice window for Jefferson on November 8, giving him two more gamedays to become active. Per a recent report from Alec Lewis of The Athletic, Jefferson remains questionable for Week 12.
Jefferson has 36 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns in five games this season. The LSU product won Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, posting an NFL-best 128 receptions and 1,809 yards. The 24-year-old eclipsed 1,000 yards in his first three seasons in the NFL.
