United took on Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils won 1-0.

Bruno Fernandes scored the only goal of the match in the first half.

Reguilon started at left back and played 79 minutes.

The left back played well and created stable performance.

The Spain international did not get forward as much as he did against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Defensively, though, Reguilon was very good and disciplined and did the job well against a Burnley side that could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Reguilon, 26, had a pass accuracy of 74.1%, took 45 touches, made one tackle, one interception and two clearances, and put in three crosses.

Erik ten Hag praises Sergio Reguilon

After the match, United coach Erik ten Hag said Reguilon was ill but still played in the match against Burnley, highlighting his bravery and determination to play for his team.

Ten Hag told United’s official website:

“Reguilon was ill, but he wanted to play and that tells you something about the character and spirit they wanted to show.

“He wants to support the team and he wants to contribute.”
