It doesn’t come as a surprise that the redshirt freshman is entering the portal. He didn’t see the field this year and has only played in one game since coming to Tuscaloosa. In the current college football landscape, players who do not see immediate playing time can easily find a new program. It might put more pressure on programs to play top prospects earlier in their college careers so they don’t leave.

I’m sure that Nick Saban is not concerned about a prospect who never saw the field. The recruiting engine is humming along in Tuscaloosa so there will be plenty of talent to replace the loss of Hastings. Saban has shown that he can coach up defensive lines and get them to an elite level so whatever players are around, he will make it work. Again, I wonder if there will be pressure for coaches to get their top prospects more playing time, and will be something to watch in future years.

You’ll always wonder what would have happened if you stayed.” After thinking it over, Brady, who would go on to win seven Super Bowls in the NFL, came back to Carr’s office the next day and vowed to compete. “I’m staying,” Brady allegedly said. “And I’m going to prove to you I am a great quarterback.”While Brady took most of the snaps for Michigan as a junior and senior
