The pundit believes Tottenham’s deal with Leicester City could be the best transfer of the summer

In Simon Jordan’s opinion, Tottenham’s signing of James Maddison from Leicester City could be the best summer move.

The commentator, who was formerly the owner of Crystal Palace, praised Maddison for his success in north London but cautioned him to control “the self-appreciation society.

However, Jordan argues in his Daily Mail piece that it was money well-spent. The Tottenham signing of James Maddison for £40 million may be the best transaction of the summer, he claimed in a piece titled “Maddison move was genius.” The transfer market closed last week.

After the Foxes were relegated from the Premier League last season, Maddison left the club, having spent four years and 203 games at the King Power Stadium, scoring 55 goals. Spurs paid £40 million as City’s wealth increased double.

He has scored two goals and two assists this season and he is a real player who just needs a little more quality about him. If he loses some of his self-respect, I think he will be great for Spurs and could prove to be a bargain.

Maddison is just one of many prominent departures as Enzo Maresca looks to balance the budget and build a new squad following his arrival from Manchester City.

When his passing was finally confirmed, Maddison wrote:

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much for accepting me and allowing me to grow and be who I am. I will never forget that. Every time I put on that number 10 shirt and represent Leicester City FC, it’s a proud moment.

Tottenham has so far had a successful first season under Ange Postecoglou. The team has won three of its four Premier League games, moving it up to second place in the standings. Maddison has started every game and has scored against Bournemouth and Burnley.

Harry Winks, a former Spurs player, is proving to be a crucial figure for City, who have made a promising start in their effort to return to the top flight and are currently third in the Championship.
